App vs. browser: which is right for you

Our native deimos app (Android APK) offers offline caching, push notifications, and faster load times compared to the web browser. The app stores tournament schedules, game assets, and account data locally so you can browse tournaments even without an internet connection. When you reconnect, the app syncs your balance and game history automatically. Push notifications remind you when tournaments start, when withdrawals complete, or when we detect unusual account activity.

The web browser version works on any device—Android, iOS, Windows, or Mac—without installation. It uses the same account and balance as the app, so you can switch between devices seamlessly. Browser access is useful if you prefer not to install software or if you want to play on a desktop or tablet. Both paths are equally secure; we use SSL encryption and two-factor authentication on all connections.

Device compatibility

Our deimos app runs on Android 7.0 and later, covering most phones and tablets released in the past six years. On iOS, we support iPhone and iPad running iOS 12 or later through our web app (no native App Store version). The web browser version works on any device with a modern browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge on Android, iOS, Windows, or Mac. Minimum screen size is 320 pixels wide; we optimise for phones as small as 5 inches and tablets up to 12 inches.

Troubleshooting common installation issues

If you see "Unknown Sources" or "Install from Unknown Sources" on Android, go to Settings → Security and enable installation from unknown sources. This is a standard Android security feature; it does not mean the deimos APK is unsafe. We sign our app with a verified certificate. If you see a certificate warning, do not proceed; contact our support team instead. On iOS, if "Add to Home Screen" does not appear, make sure you are using Safari (not Chrome or another browser) and that you have scrolled to the bottom of the share menu. If the app crashes on launch, clear your browser cache or reinstall the APK.

Data, permissions, and account security

Our deimos app requests permission to access your device's camera (for KYC identity verification), microphone (for live-dealer chat), location (to detect restricted jurisdictions), and contacts (optional, for account recovery). We do not sell or share your data with third parties. All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using SSL. Your account password is hashed and never stored in plain text. We support optional two-factor authentication via SMS or authenticator apps. If you lose your phone, you can log in from another device and change your password immediately. Your balance and game history are tied to your account, not your device, so you never lose access.
